Everworld***

A thousand years ago humans believed in the Gods of myth, in the great legends, in dragons and trolls and elves and wizards. So, what if they were right? What if all these myths were real? Well, you'd ask, "If Thor and Apollo, dragons and dwarves were all real, where are they now?"

The answer is . . . Everworld.

In the dark past, Zeus and Odin, Huitzilopoctli and Ra, and the other gods of myth decided to abandon the real world. They created another universe where magic rules, where all the mystery and terror of these capricious immortals holds sway. It is a place where Vikings still sail in the name of Thor, where the Aztecs still make human sacrifices to Huitzilopoctli, and where Merlin still weaves his subtle webs.

For a thousand years and more Everworld has existed apart from the real world. But now Everworld is in trouble. The cozy universe created by Earth's ancient immortals has been invaded by the creatures of myths that are no part of human tradition. The gods are under attack, divided, terrified. And in this moment of supreme danger, Loki, Norse god of evil, reaches across the barrier between Everworld and the real world to seize a new power: Senna Wales.

Senna carries with her four ordinary high school kids from the Midwest. David, the insecure hero and Senna's love; Christopher, the joker Senna spurned, who hides his own anger and bigotry beneath a glib veneer; Jalil, cold, calculating and so devoted to rationality he can't even acknowledge his own strange tie to Senna; and April, Senna's half-sister — actress, flirt, and Senna's most dangerous enemy.

David in the books*** (FPK only, unless revealed to your muse by David, or you've got an omnipotent muse)

David was Senna's boyfriend - in the real world. In Everworld, he is the leader of the group. He was the one who said that all of them would return to the real world, or no one would return at all. Completely trusting of Senna and driven by his love for her - and the spells she has cast upon him - he follows her when no one else will and searches for her when no one else wants to. And this blind faith may eventually lead to their destruction.

Early on in the book series, David acquires the sword of Galahad, which further solidified his position as their unofficial leader. He's the first to crossover completely into Everworld after Senna's death. He felt that he had more of a purpose there then he did at home, and wanted to fight to save the world from what they had unleashed. He was also declared Athena's champion, sent to try and save the world from Ka Anor as well, but that was before the Sennites had arrived.

David Twelve Years Gone: (Same Clause as Above)

The David being played here is one from twelve years after the end of the last book. They've been fighting a war against the Sennites, and for some reason yet to be determined, he, Christopher and April have found themselves returned to the real world again.

Despite his efforts to the contrary, he is still very much devoted to Senna. He hates her, and what she forced them all to do, but he also knows that he would submit right back into being her champion again if she asked him to. He and Christopher have much of the same relationship as they had in the books, but there's slightly less bitterness and more just the fact that their personalities clash. They fight like twelve year-old boys really.

David is stoic and rather literal. He says what he means, and won't hold his punches for anyone, especially when it's a cause he believes in, but he rarely ever offends, or does his best not to. He's passionate, dedicated, and loyal, and does his best to lead his troops to the best of his ability.
